In this article, I examined establishment time of the Sarasvati faith of Itsukushima Shrine and the character and was able to clarify the following fact. There was dragon King faith to assume an enshrined deity a dragon woman for along time. Itsukushima Shrine, and this received a surge of the Fukujin faith after the latter period in the Muromachi era and switched it to Sarasvati faith to grant happiness and prosperity by in the early days for the age of civil strife.
