理学療法士の対象疾患や患者ニーズは年々増大・複雑化しており，学生の臨床研修といえども臨床実習指導者が学生に求める最低限の臨床実技能力は高くなっている。また受身的学習態度など大学生側の問題もあり，実習遂行上のトラブルになることが多い。これらへの対策として本学理学療法学科では他の養成校に先駆けて模擬患者およびOSCE に関連した科目である模擬患者演習Ⅱの設置を行った。講義内容は主に症例検討グループワークとSP 演習，OSCE に構成されている。その効果は模擬患者演習Ⅱの実施前では臨床実習とOSCE の成績に相関が見られたが，実施後はその相関に有意差は見られなくなった。

For physiotherapists, the amount of diseases and patients’ needs have become more complicated every year. In addition, the minimal clinical practical skills that a clinical supervisor demands of a student also have continually increased. Physiotherapy educators have been very concerned with the growing passive attitude demonstrated by students in the classroom and now also noted in clinical practice. We are the first university for physiotherapy students in Japan to develop a “Seminar Using Simulated Patients II” (SUSP II), a new seminar coordinating simulated patients with the OSCE test. This seminar includes case conferences performed in groups, simulated patient practice, and OSCE test practice. The results showed that a correlation of the scores of clinical practice and OSCE testing were statistically significant in pre-SUSP II. However, it showed no significant difference in post-SUSP II results.
