本研究は, 看護学生の終末期患者の看護における教育方法の今後の課題を明らかにすることを目的に, 本短期大学生101名の3年次における成人・老人看護実習の, 慢性期・終末期看護実習終了後に提示した事例についてレポートを分析したものである。その結果, 学生は, 患者・家族の不安や苦痛について理解でき, 苦痛を軽減する援助について学びが得られていた。今後の課題として, 終末期看護について学習する場を意図的に設けること, 学習効果が得られるような教員の積極的な関りの必要性が示唆された。

To clarify future problems in terminal care education methods for student nurses, we analyzed reports, which were written by 101 students of our junior college when they were in the 3rd year, on a case presented after completion of chronic terminal stage practice in nursing practice with adult/elderly patients. The results showed that the students were able to understand the anxiety and pain of patient/families and adequately learned how to offer support to reduce pain. The future problems are the planned provision of occasions for learning terminal care and the active involvement of teachers to produce learning effects.
