質の高い看護を提供できる看護職を養成するための基礎資料を得ることを目的として,病院に勤務する看護職者400名を対象に質問紙による調査をした。看護実践について66項目と基礎教育課程や勤務年数などの看護職の特性について自作の質問紙を用いてデータ収集を行い,因子分析の結果,【知識・判断を伴う専門的看護介入】【看護の継続への志向】【日常生活援助と環境調整】【方向づけへの説明】【患者を尊重した関わり】の5因子が抽出された。平均値で大別すると,病院の看護職者が日常的に<あてはまる>と認知している看護実践は,【患者を尊重した関わり】【日常生活援助と環境調整】【方向づけへの説明】で,<あまりあてはまらない>と認知している看護実践は【知識・判断を伴う専門的看護介入】【看護の継続への志向】であった。5因子と基礎教育課程,勤務年数,勤務所属区分,職位との関連がみられ,看護の継続への志向や知識・判断を伴う専門的看護介入の援助技術を強化する必要性など,看護基礎教育の課題が示唆された。

With the general aim of obtaining data useful for educating high-quality professionals, we administered a questionnaire to 400 hospital nurses. The questionnaire comprised 66 items on matters of relevance to nursing practice such as basic curriculum and years of service. Using factor analysis, five factors were extracted : [specialist nursing intervention in accordance with knowledge and judgment], [intention of continued care and education], [assistance with daily living and adjustment of environment], [explanation of treatment] and [relationship of respect with the patient]. Using division by mean values, the factors which hospital nurses considered applicable to daily practice were [physical contact with patients], [assistance with daily living and adjustment of environment], and [comfort and safety of patients]. The factors considered not so applicable to nursing practice were [specialist nursing intervention in accordance with diagnosis and treatment] and [reaction to continuance of nursing]. A relationship emerged between the five factors and basic nursing education, years of service, professional position and rank. A clear need also emerged for basic nursing curricula to develop facilitative skills for continuance of nursing and specialist nursing intervention.
