看護系短期大学に勤務する助手の多くは, 看護実践の場から看護教育の場に転職している。そのため, 転職した初期には個人の経験にあわせた学習や支援が特に必要である。そこで教育における個人の経験の生かし方や教育職としての具体的支援を考える基礎的資料を得ることを目的として, まず臨地実習に関する不安の実態, 不安と学生を指導した経験との関連性を検討した。その結果, 短期大学の助手は助手としての勤務期間が短く, かなりの助手が臨地実習に際して不安を感じていること, 学生を指導した経験の有無によって不安を感じる内容が異なることが明らかになった。さらに, 主成分分析の結果から, 臨地実習における評価や判断基準の曖昧さや, 具体的な臨地実習のイメージを持ちにくいことが不安を構成する成分として考えられた。

Many teaching assistants at nursing college have changed their occupation from practical nursing to nursing education. It is particularly necessary to support persons who are during early career experience after her/his change in occupation, depending on her/his previous experiences. To obtain fundamental data for considering ways of making good use of personal experience in education concrete measure in supporting a person as an educator, we evaluated the actual state of uneasiness concerning nursing practice and the relationship between uneasiness and experience in teaching students. The results showed that the period for which a teaching assistant engaged in the occupation was so short that many of them felt uneasy about nursing practice, and that the reasons for this uneasiness varied according to experience in teaching students. Principal component analysis indicated that the vagueness of criteria in evaluating or judging nursing practice and difficulty in holding a concrete image of nursing practice might contribute to the uneasiness felt by a teaching assistant.
