本研究では，三原市で全 3 回コミュニティカフェを試行的に開催し，その成果と課題を明らかにすることを目 的として，参加者への自己記入式アンケート，運営協力者へのインタビューの内容を量的質的に分析した。その 結果，【参加者を継続して集客できたこと】【参加者に「居心地が良い」といった感情の変化があったこと】【運 営に携わりたいとする参加者が現れたこと】など 5 つが成果として挙がった。一方，課題として試行したコミュ ニティカフェを継続するには，【運営協力者との目的や内容の共有】【運営の仕組みの構築】【参加者への運営参 加の動機づけ】など 7 つが重要であると分かった。コミュニティカフェで知り合う関係から支え合う関係を構築 するためには，特に立ち上げの段階から地域住民と協働することが必要であると考える。

In this study, we discuss the trial run of a community café we operated in Mihara city. To assess the achievements and challenges encountered during the trial, we conducted a questionnaire survey of participants, interviewed collaborators, and exchanged fi eld notes. The results of the survey were then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. We identifi ed a few achievements: “the participants were able to continue to attract customers,” “the participants had emotional changes such as ‘comfortable,’” “some participants desired to support the café,” and so on. As for the challenges we faced during the trial run of the community café, we found a few things of importance: the need for “sharing of purpose and content with management collaborators,” “a robust management system,” “motivation of participants to participate in management,” and so on. After the survey, we considered it necessary to collaborate with local residents at the startup stage to build a relationship of mutual support at the community café.
